Important Information

I just learned of the details for the upcoming pro-life t-shirt day (and t-shirt week!). I got a postcard in the mail from Heritage House. Pro-life t-shirt day is APRIL 28th!! They are selling t-shirts for $8.00 (plus s&h) on their website. I have included two links to the shirts. One is a regular t-shirt and the other is a “women’s cut” t-shirt. Both say the same message on the back (the date is on the front): “If he’s not alive, why is his heart beating? If he’s not a human being, what kind of being is he? If he’s a living human being…why is it legal to kill him? Choose Life.” Please, check out these shirts and get yours ordered (I just did!). Here’s a promo code for you: V10T

Also, American Life League has their pro-life t-shirt day shirts as always. AND, they have decided to extend the event to pro-life t-shirt WEEK!! It’s April 28th - May 4th (mark your calendars and particpate!). Their shirts are $6.50 (plus s&h). I ordered those too! ;) I got a closet full of pro-life tees, so I will definitely be able to wear them all week!! I will wear the Heritage House tee on the 28th, and the all.org shirts the rest of the week.

Can you imagine if we were all wearing these t-shirts with the pro-life message all at the same time (and for a whole week?!). What a way to spread awareness and get the opportunity to share the message with others! I can’t even begin to tell you how many people come up to me and ask about my shirts, how they can get one, and what it’s all about. Some of them are down right amazed when I tell them about things like FOCA (freedom of choice act), Obama’s agenda, and also how Planned Parenthood is in the business of promoting promiscuity and exterminating children (especially minorities). Obama/Planned Parenthood THAT IS DISGUSTING!! The way you market killing really does sound like a bad car salesman pitch (as Steven Crowder illustrates).

We all need to have attitudes like that of this 12 year old girl. Her video that wisely and courageously defends life speaks volumes (and has begun to go viral - PLEASE, pass it on!!!). It’s a shame that a girl so young even has to plead for the lives of innocent people that shouldn’t have to die in the first place. Amercia, who are we?!! How long will we have to explain abortion to our children? I don’t want to have to explain it to mine (remember the video I posted last year?)!

On that final note, please remember to participate in the next call for life this Friday. It’s so simple, and it REALLY can (and will) make a difference if we all work together!! The small things really add up to a lot!! Remember everyone, we are called to stand for life, not snuff it out (Exodus 20:13, Deuteronomy 30:19, Psalm 82:3, Proverbs 6:16-17). Silence isn’t golden, it’s deadly!! If we passively let this continue, we will have blood on our hands. Please, no more lives lost! No more pain, regret, and torture for women!! This has got to stop!!

Tomorrow's Crossroads

I pray that everything goes well tomorrow. Best case scenario, McCain/Palin will be elected and our nation can let out a sigh of relief. Our faith, freedoms, families, and sacred marriages will be defended and protected, and our children (whether born or yet to be born) will have a voice in the White House. We will also have the hope that very soon, the Roe vs. Wade decision that destroyed millions of lives and traumatized countless women will soon be overturned. Now THAT is hope that we can believe in!

In addition to all of that, we will have the promise of a brighter future as we watch the two of them clean up Washington, give back to the American people, and make this nation a better place!! I can't wait to see the fruit of our prayers come to pass!! May the Lord show mercy and favor to us as He did four years ago when He refused to allow John Kerry to destroy America. The danger is even greater this time around, and I pray that He will show even more compassion on His faithful ones by sparing us from Obama's reign of terror!

I surely hope that Obama isn't elected. Our moral fabric will unravel at the seams and the principles our nation was founded on will dissolve little by little. It's a "slow fade" like the song by Casting Crowns. Check it out! The subject of the video doesn't just apply to relationships, but to the state our hearts and this nation. Will we let it all fade away, turn to gray, and let our values and faith slip away? We'll pay a high price if we don't stand up and stand strong! If all that we are turns into all that we "were", our nation will continue to spiral into despair and misery. I pray that we will move towards restoration, rather than destruction.

This is my heart's plea. I pray that you will stand with me tomorrow. And, in case you missed it, here's my video message for you to see once again. Feel free to pass it on!

On that final note, I would like to remind everyone that this Friday is the next monthly call for life. The people I may have to contact for these calls might be changing soon. I will still be contacting Richard Lugar (he's not up for reelection yet). And, more than likely, I'll still be contacting Mike Pence (I'm confident he will be reelected!). And, of course, I still have to continue contacting Evan Bayh (PRAY FOR HIM!). The only thing that might change is who I will be contacting concerning the offices of governor and president. Mitch Daniels is looking as though he will probably get reelected, but the office of president is really close right now (of course!). America, please don't make my job harder!! Right now, I have the joy of thanking and encouraging my representatives to continue standing for life, family, and values (with the exception of Evan Bayh). Please, don't make me have to plead and beg Obama each month to change his heart and do what's right!!! Of course, I will if it comes to that, but I sincerely hope I won't have to!! I would love to be able to continue encouraging a pro-life president to keep making strides in the right direction. I don't want to have to weep and mourn knowing that the leader of the country that I love is in favor of killing off innocent and defenseless people!!

Grace and peace to you all!! Please, VOTE TOMORROW as if your life depends on it - because it DOES!!!!

Planned Parenthood Loses Again!! :)

I got the latest ALL report for you........and it's some good news!! But, before you read that, I would like to remind everyone that tomorrow is the monthly call for life!! Please, take a few moments to participate!! You can find out all the details on this campaign by visiting http://www.monthlycallforlife.com/

ICYMI: Habitat for Humanity affiliate ends cooperation with Planned Parenthood

American Life League Wins Another Battle Against Planned Parenthood

Sarasota, FL,Jun 4, 2008 / 11:51 pm (CNA) - A Florida Habitat for Humanity affiliate has ceased to cooperate with Planned Parenthood’s attempt to build a new abortion facility in Sarasota, Florida.Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider, wanted to open an abortion clinic in Sarasota, but due to zoning ordinances they were unable to do so. The obstacle seemed to have been overcome when Habitat for Humanity Sarasota agreed to purchase a Planned Parenthood property for $10 and to build housing on part of it.

The agreement would have bypassed city requirements preventing Planned Parenthood from obtaining an occupancy permit. City ordinances required a multifamily “liner” building to be constructed at the back of the property before a clinic could be opened at the front.
On Wednesday morning the American Life League (ALL) reportedly was informed that Board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity of Sarasota, Inc., on Tuesday night voted to withdraw from the agreement.

Writing in a press release, ALL vice president Jim Sedlak said ALL was “extremely pleased” with the board’s decision.

“Organizations must realize that associating themselves with Planned Parenthood – operators of the nation’s largest abortion chain – will be viewed negatively by many good people in this country. Planned Parenthood is a controversial organization and that controversy will transfer to any group associated with Planned Parenthood.”

Sedlak said that ALL had worked with Sarasota-area pro-lifers to publicize the agreement. He said this resulted in a “large number” of phone calls to local and international Habitat for Humanity offices.

Important FYI's

I just have a few FYI’s to pass along…….

First off, today is the National Day of Prayer. I know there are events going on everywhere around the nation. So, find an event near you and participate or at the very least, just take some extra time to pray…..for this nation, for family and friends, everything!! Let’s all pray together and let them rise up to heaven!!

Tomorrow is the next call for life. PLEASE, get involved with that!! Just a few minutes a month, ONCE A MONTH!! Simple enough isn’t it? AND, it can and will make a difference!!

I am also honored to announce that the YouTube video I uploaded for pro-life t-shirt day on Tuesday has gotten over 100 hits so far. In addition to that, Rock for Life/American Life League is featuring it on their YouTube channel as well as their website. Here is the video from YouTube that they placed on their channel. Also, here is the link to the video on the American Life League home page (or by clicking here as well). It’s truly a blessing to be able to spread the word and hopefully, this short little video will make an impact!! That’s what I am praying for!!
Well, that’s about all I have to say!! God bless you all!!

"What about this one?"

As you all know, today is the sixth annual pro-life t-shirt day - sponsored by American Life League (ALL). And, of course, I am wearing my t-shirt today!! Are you wearing yours??

This year’s shirt is blue and it has three pictures on it. Two pictures are of babies in development, and the other picture is a pitch black square. Above the pictures, it says “Abortion.” Below the pictures, it says “growing, growing, gone.” Today, Casey looked at my shirt and pointed to BOTH pictures and said, “Mommy,….baby.” No one had to tell him that. We are BORN knowing that those little “fetuses” or “blobs of tissue” (as Planned Parenthood so wrongly calls them) are BABIES, created in the image of God and so easily recognizable that even a child knows it!! Yet, some adults aren’t even smart enough to realize that because they are lied to, brainwashed, and deceived into believing lies that go against common sense and their very essence of being! Not so with my son. He KNEW they were babies just by looking at them. Though, he was very perplexed when he looked at the empty square of blackness. He pointed to it and said, “what about this one?” When I heard that, it really struck me. Indeed, “what about this one?” What about the babies that don’t survive? What about THEM?!

How do I explain what happens to “this one” to my five-year-old child? He couldn’t understand even if I wanted to tell him. The saddest thing is, abortion shouldn’t have to be something I have to explain to my child because it shouldn’t be going on in the first place. I don’t want to have to explain willful murder to my son, or the devastation of those who are now saying, “what have I done to ‘this one’?” I don’t want to have to hear the countless stories of pain from mothers, fathers, siblings, and grandparents who are grieving for the lost children who were taken away by “choice.” I don’t want to have to explain to him the sick and twisted agenda of Planned Parenthood and how they lie and scheme their way to profits; profits off of death!! Yet, this is currently the sad reality, and the culture of death continues on….and with the endorsement of countless celebrities, businesses and corporations (some of which will likely surprise you as much as it did me!), and OUR TAX DOLLARS TOO!!. One can only hope that before my child reaches an age to where he can understand what abortion is, all I will have to say is that it’s a tragic thing of the past and not something that occurs in the present.

So, how will that happen? WHEN will that happen? When will we start fighting for “this one”? I’m doing my best RIGHT NOW for “this one.” How about you? Some of the best and simple ways that we can help is by praying, getting involved (like the call for life, for example), spreading awareness about what abortion REALLY is, how it HURTS women’s health (not helps it!), and what it does to all others involved. This has GOT TO STOP!! Not just for “this one” but for “every one!”

Once again, I must remind everyone that the next call for life is this Friday. Please, speak up for baby “this one.” Take just a few minutes to participate, ONCE A MONTH, EVERY MONTH!!

In closing, I would like to share a video I made today. It’s a video of Casey and I, and I am wearing the t-shirt. Listen to the pure and innocent words of my five-year-old. Watch his face as he tries to think about what my shirt could possibly mean. Think about all the “this ones.” Then, I pray you will be moved to help save them, as well as the fate of “every one” in America. May God forgive and save us from ourselves. May we repent and be redeemed!! We CAN turn things around!! Let’s make it happen!!

Videos and Reminders

Here is the latest ALL report. It’s a video talking about the late Wellington Mara; co-owner of the New York Giants, and strong advocate for life.

In addition to that, I would like to remind everyone of the sixth annual pro-life t-shirt day which is on TUESDAY!! If you bought a t-shirt, remember to wear it!! If you didn’t, wear another pro-life t-shirt that you have hanging up in your closet. If you don’t have a pro-life t-shirt, MAKE ONE!! Let’s be a voice and commemorate the day!!

Speaking of voices, let’s make our voices heard on the next monthly call for life day (which is next Friday). I don’t know who all participates, but I have been doing this for quite a while now. I know that I have been participating since at least 2005 or earlier. Once a month, EVERY MONTH, I take time to contact my representatives and to call an abortion clinic to let them know I am praying for them.

I don’t know how many people are doing this, but I pray that we will grow in number. I don’t even know if any of those who read my blogs are even doing it. I’ve been blogging about it for a long time, and have yet to hear from anyone that they are participating with me in this and spreading the word. I just hope that those who have read about this have been moved to action, whether I know about it or not.

I don’t know what else to say to motivate anyone to help in this fight for life ONCE A MONTH. It’s such a small thing, but it can add up to SO MUCH!! Can you imagine if we all did this? If we all jammed the phone lines and inboxes, wouldn’t we eventually be heard? Wouldn’t our representatives be pushed so hard with the outcries on behalf of the unborn that they would HAVE to move to action in order to attain justice for the innocent (and shut us up as well!)? In Luke 18, Jesus tells the parable of the persistent widow who keeps coming before the judge to attain justice. The judge doesn’t care, but because of her persistence, he decides to see to it that she gets the justice she is pleading for so he won‘t be bothered by her pleas anymore. Jesus told this parable to illustrate persistence in prayer. Indeed, we should be persistent in our prayers for the unborn, and for all of our prayers and petitions to God. And, we should continue being persistent in fighting for what is right and pursuing justice for the defenseless whose innocent blood is crying out to God for it. As Christians, we can’t just sit idly by and let this go on. Not only do countless babies die, but those that undergo abortions suffer as well and subsequently, so do we. It’s a ripple effect, people. But, we can put a stop to it, and the call for life is one of the many things that we can do to put an end to more tragedies and pain. I have heard countless personal stories from articles, friends, and so many others that have told me of the pain their abortion caused them. I don’t want to keep watching so many suffer. Let’s protect them!! Let’s be there for them, educate them, and do all we can to stop the agendas, outlaw the killings, and show them what REAL choice is - a choice for LIFE (which is a choice EVERYONE can live with!!).

As I finish this blog, I would like to share the video playlist I promised of my kids’ adventures while we were in South Carolina. May their smiles and laughter remind you like it reminds me of how important it is to do all we can to protect and defend life. May you look at the children in your life and think about what a blessing their lives are and then be motivated to help ensure that other children get the chance to laugh, smile, and be blessings in this world too.

Just to Catch You Up on Things Before I Leave...

This is just a miscellaneous blog to bring up a few things and catch all of you up on what’s been going on lately…….

Wednesday, we spent all day at the funeral home. My great-grandmother looked wonderful. She looked like she was merely asleep and resting peacefully. I half-expected her to wake up and smile at us; though I know that she is already alive and well in heaven!! Her casket was also very beautiful (and she had it all picked out herself - way back in 1995! LOL). That’s Grandma for you!! ;) She had it all planned out and everything was beautiful. Her casket was gray, but it had shades of pink and burgundy and roses etched into it. The inside, where she was resting, was a beautiful and soft pink. She always did love pink!! Many of her flowers were shades of pink as well.

There were some tears, of course, but very little compared to all the memories of life and laughter that we shared as family gathered together (some of which hadn’t seen each other in a long time). It was wonderful to be together, celebrate her life, and fellowship together. And, I must also say, the funeral home was a wonderful, homey, and accommodating place with an all-star staff that went out of their way to do all they could to care for the needs of everyone present. My kudos to them on a job well done!! THANK YOU!!

Today’s funeral was also wonderful and my step-father preached it; as well as sang a couple songs (my Mom sang one of the songs with him). And, my Uncle Jim (who is recovering from injuries incurred while in Florida for the winter) even managed the strength to sing a song.
I also was asked to read the blog I composed about Grandma right after her passing. I was amazed that I got through it without crying and I can’t thank all of you enough for praying for my family and I!! I had expected that everyone would be tremendously emotional, but it wasn’t nearly as taxing as we had anticipating and everyone coped very well!! Thank you so much, everyone. Your prayers have been giving us the strength, endurance, and comfort that we have all been desiring.

Speaking of prayer, I would like to request that you pray for a safe trip for all of us who are traveling after coming together this week. Pray for health and safety. Some of you may even be wondering why I said “us” and that is because I will be traveling with my children to South Carolina to stay with my Mom, step-father, and brother for two weeks. This is the kind of break that we need for so many reasons. The togetherness, change of scenery, etc. will be good for us. Therefore, my online time will still be limited. Thank you for your understanding!!

One last thing I would like to mention before I close is that tomorrow is once again the monthly call for life. I participated yesterday; given the fact that I will be on the road all day tomorrow. And, I do have some news to report (I don’t know if it means anything or not, but hey,…….I’ll take it!!). Anyways, on the call for life days, I always e-mail the president, my governor, senators, and congressmen and thank them for their stance on life and encourage them to keep doing so (with the exception of Mr. Evan Bayh whom I have to beg to see the light and change his position to life instead of death - hasn’t happened yet either!! GOD SAVE EVAN BAYH!!). Then, I also call an abortion clinic. The past few times, I have called the Indy abortion clinic. I don’t know for sure, but I think I have gotten the same voice on the other line each time for a while. Each time, she sounds softer and more open. I always tell her that I am from the monthly call for life campaign and that I am thinking of them and praying for them today. Then, I ask if there is anything I could personally pray for her about. Often times, I get hang ups, snide remarks, and even strange requests that I pray for God to bless their “business” or something. One time, I was just simply told to pray that she could get through each day every day. (Wow, that just broke my heart!!) But, today, she said “no thanks, darling,” politely said good-bye and hung up. Like I said, I don’t know for sure if I keep getting the same lady, but it sounds like it. Pray that God would continue working on her heart. I feel as if something is going on inside her.

That’s what makes these calls for life so worth it. You never know what kind of a difference you make!! You might be helping to convict the heart of one of your representatives, abortion clinic workers, or encouraging the leaders who do stand for life to keep doing what they are doing. All of this is simple but important work and it’s only once a month!! It doesn’t take long!! Please, make time to do this!! Isn’t it worth just a few precious minutes ONCE A MONTH to try and make a difference and maybe even save lives??

With that final thought, I will bid you adieu. I don’t know when I will be blogging next, but I thank you all for continuing to read and I just pray that God will bless you as much as all of you have blessed me with your kindness, thoughtfulness, and prayers!! I love you all!!

Horton Hears The Whos. Do You?

As promised, I will now share my thoughts about the “Horton Hears A Who” movie; which we seen on the day of its premiere on our way home from vacation. You might also want to read the Plugged In Online review by Focus on the Family as well:

I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. Sometimes, you don’t know what you are going to get in an animated film these days. After all, movies like “Shrek” and countless other animated films, tend to target the children as their audience even though they pollute it with sexual innuendo - which is totally uncalled for and inappropriate. So, I was hoping that this movie would steer clear from those types of things, and remarkably, it did. I found little to nothing offensive and I highly recommend this movie and encourage all to see and support this.

Of course, the main reason I am promoting this movie is because of the obvious pro-life message. Sadly, however, the fact that there are those of us that can see a pro-life message actually upset the late Dr. Seuss as well as his widow. Which is why there has been some controversy over how pro-lifers are using the movie to try and stir hearts about the evils of abortion and the duty we have to protect life because after all “a person’s a person, no matter how small.” In this article, I find an odd remark about the controversy which comes from Jody Berger of the Rocky Mountain Region of Planned Parenthood: “I think it's unfortunate. I mean, this is not about a movie, this is an extreme ballot initiative that goes too far. To use a mainstream movie to get their message off, I think just doesn't work."

That quote is so amusing considering that if the shoe was on the other foot, they wouldn’t be complaining. We have countless movies that glorify the liberal agenda, promote promiscuous and pre-marital sex, and countless other godless agendas and “it‘s perfectly normal“ - right Planned Parenthood?? But, the second we have a movie with a pure, wholesome, and respectful message about the sanctity of life, WE get accused of having an “agenda.” Agenda? Really? LIFE isn’t agenda…..life is LIFE!! Going AGAINST life (which all of us who are living and breathing are enjoying right now) is what the AGENDA is!!

So, anyways, as I watched the movie, I just had a flood of emotions. While there were moments of laughter and comedy, I found myself unable to really enjoy that aspect because I was so caught up in the sense of urgency to protect the Whos from all that threatened them. It was just gut-wrenching and emotional for me, and I couldn’t help but cry (yes, I am a total sap!). I watched as Horton desperately tried to do all he could to protect their innocent lives. All the while, the opposition was trying to stop him because they didn’t believe that there could be life on that little “speck.” The kangaroo summed up the attitude of abortion culture brilliantly when she ignorantly and bombastically touted that "if you can't see, hear or feel something, it doesn't exist!" Really? Is that so? Well, you can’t actually see, hear, or feel a lot of things. So, there must be a LOT in this world that doesn’t exist according to that philosophy!! Shall we apply that kind of logic to the periodic table of elements or the light spectrum? After all, I would venture to say that most of us can’t see, hear, or feel invisible light or elements. Therefore, they don’t exist, right? ;) No, of course not!

So, with this kind of wrong thinking as their guide, the animals of the jungle blindly followed the instructions of the kangaroo and did her bidding. The Whos even had trouble believing that anything bigger than them existed until confronted with the reality that they were in danger. All their hopes rested with Horton; the only one that could hear them and fight for them. They did their best to make all the noise they could in order to make themselves heard and FINALLY, the “Yopp” of the mayor’s son broke through the atmosphere and gave them the voice that they needed.

We need every voice possible fighting for life!! What if we are only one voice away from breaking through? Are you the “yopp” we need? Is your voice in the mix? Will you speak for the unborn and protect the innocent?

There are so many things that you can do to help - some are just little things (but the little adds up to a LOT when we are all doing it!). One of them being the monthly call for life campaign that I am involved with (the next one is a week from today). We also have pro-life t-shirt day coming up on April 29th; which I mentioned in a blog earlier this week (in fact, we got our t-shirts today!! Have you got yours?). You can also sign this petition to ask the government to stop giving YOUR TAX DOLLARS to Planned Parenthood. There are countless ways in which you can help….just GET INVOLVED!!!

Maybe if we all started being more like Horton and less like the kangaroo, we would finally see abortion come to an end!! I pray that God will change the hearts of other “kangaroos” - like the one in the movie.

Here are a few video links where you can watch more about this story and what it means for the pro-life movement. Here is a video featuring Lou Engle. It’s an older video in which he talks about the impact that they are anticipating the movie to have on peoples’ hearts. Combine that with the other recent pro-life themed movies like “Bella” and “Juno” and we have reason to hope that we are making a dent in the culture of death. Also, here is an older animated version of “Horton Hears A Who.” And, here is the latest American Life League Video report which fittingly enough, talks about “personhood.” That’s something Gianna Jessen could tell you about. As many of you know, she is an abortion survivor (and the person we named our daughter after). And finally, once again, here is the link to the newly uploaded video of my kids laughing hysterically. Everyone who has seen it thus far just loves it!! You can’t help but smile and laugh too! It’s a reminder to me of just how precious they are and how beautiful life is!! I can’t imagine not having them in this world!!

May God bless you as we continue to fight the good fight!!

Before I Leave Today...

Well, we are on our way to Tennessee today!! Please, pray for good health and safety as we travel. Also, pray that God will bless our time together and that even in the midst of fun and relaxation, God would do wondrous things in us and among us!! We may be taking a break from the every day things, but we aren’t taking a break from God!! I pray that no matter where I am or where I go, I can be a testament to His love and that people will see Him in me.

Just a few random things before I depart….

I would like to remind everyone that today is the monthly call for life. Please, take a few moments to participate!! Visit their website to see how to do so!! I already did it yesterday - since I will be on the road today.

Speaking of the call for life, I am thinking of one of my unspoken requests today. It resulted from the call for life campaign, and I would like to ask for your continued prayers for that request. Hopefully, I will be able to disclose what this request is sometime. The more you pray, the sooner we will see answers!! Thanks!!

On a side note, I almost forgot to blog about Dawn Eden’s appearance on the “Today” show. I can’t stand that show, but I watched it since she was on and she did a great job!! For those of you that don’t know, Dawn Eden is a friend of mine, and I had a guest post on her blog last year - pertaining to the call for life. She is the author of “The Thrill of the Chaste” and will soon have another book on the shelves to compliment that one. Check out her links, and also take some time to watch her You Tube videos. You’ll especially love the one I have on my myspace page. It’s a “chastity” song!! Keep up the good work Dawn!!

One final thing before I leave…….

Next weekend is our church’s 33 hours of prayer. Each hour is in honor of Jesus’ 33 years on Earth. Many of us have a one hour time slot to “keep watch” and pray. (I have my time set up for when I return next weekend). The theme in the prayer room is, “Amazing Grace: My Chains Are Gone.” So, in honor of that, I wrote a sonnet. God really let the words flow freely from me as I wrote it last night. I hope that it will bless someone. God bless you all and I will see you when I return!!

Total Surrender

Link by link I have made this chain.
Each link is a bondage I bear.
I could be free, if I would call upon His Name.
Yet, still, this chain I will continue to wear.
Day by day, I carry this heavy load.
My pride refuses to let go.
And so, I keep dragging this chain…as I walk life's road;
Though, it burdens me so.
I surrender, at last, when I can bear it no more.
The weight is lifted from me.
What kept me from doing this before?
Why was it that I just couldn't see?
Total surrender is what dissolved my chains; and allowed Jesus to heal my heart.

I Have Returned! :)

Ok…..I’m back!! Miss me? LOL

Praise God for answered prayer!! It has been a nice break and much was accomplished!! Namely the fact that the media is absolutely flabbergasted that Mike Huckabee has won in Iowa (and that Hillary Clinton finished THIRD!! LOL). They just don’t understand that money has nothing to do with it (didn‘t they learn their lesson with John Kerry? All the money in the world can‘t buy you a president!). Sure, money helps fund and promote the campaign, but prayer goes farther than a dollar ever can! We know it, Huckabee has always known it, and God knows it!!

And, aside from that aspect (whether you are a believer or not) people identify and like Mike!! Just like Huckabee said in the first part of the Jay Leno interview,“People are looking for a presidential candidate who reminds them more of the guy they work with rather than the guy that laid them off.” That’s for sure!! People are going to vote for someone who stands up for what’s right, looks out for and genuinely cares for their welfare and the well-being of America, as well as a man who operates with integrity and character. THAT is something you can NEVER “buy.” Take notes Romney and Hillary (and all the rest of you candidates who don’t know what character and honesty are!!). ;)

It’s also worth it to see/hear more of the comments he made, like this one, in the second part of the Jay Leno interview: “I think there's a fundamental difference between us in terms of whether we think taxes ought to go up or down, whether government ought to be more or less involved.” Right you are Mike!! There is a BIG difference; and people need to realize that before they vote so we don’t end up living with a mountain of regret!! That being stated, Mike Huckabee is the way to go and after hearing him explain how to get rid of the IRS in the second half of the Jay Leno interview, I am more convinced than ever!! That and the fact that he totally mopped the floor with Tim Russert on “Meet the Press” a few days ago (I especially loved this segment!!). Way to go MIKE!!

Well, that’s all I have to say. I experienced a lot of good moments of personal growth and reflection over the last few days - but I’m keeping that to myself. Although, it was a great compliment to me when I had a brother in Christ tell me the other night that he really saw me grow in my faith this past year and since he has known me. He and his lovely wife are always so nice to me whenever I see them at church and they always make my day. He even said I had a “glow” about me - which is the highest compliment anyone can ever receive; that is, for someone to tell you that you radiate the love of Christ and that the beauty of that inspires and attracts others to Him. I told him that that is something you can’t buy in the cosmetic aisle; only Christ can make your eyes sparkle and your persona radiate and glow with His love. It’s sobering and humbling that there are those that notice that about me as I try my hardest to be a good ambassador for Christ. If anyone thinks I am beautiful, THAT is the reason why. My beauty would be nothing if I didn’t have Jesus!! Jesus perfectly embodies the definition of “true beauty” and because I have Him, I AM BEAUTIFUL!!

I have two more things to share before I close. The first thing being that today is once again the monthly call for life. So, if you haven’t already done so, PLEASE participate!! Now, more than ever, it’s important to be a voice for the voiceless. During sanctity of life week (January 20-27) we will be marking the tragic 35th anniversary of the legalization of abortion. I pray that this election year, we will elect even more people that can help put this senseless slaughter of innocent human beings to an end. LET THE HIDDEN HOLOCAUST COME TO AN END!! NO MORE GENOCIDE!!

Also, I am proud to announce that my best friend, Susan Stafford, now has her book “Soulless” ready for purchase through the publisher’s website. It will soon be available to order on other sites, but the publisher is making it available first. And, if anyone knows the process of supply and demand, her book will be more readily available on shelves the more that people take interest in it and demand it!! This is a definite must read for anyone!! You will be awed by the miraculous and amazing transformation that God did in her heart as He took an empty and unfulfilling life full of abuse and emptiness and made it into something redemptive and beautiful!! I encourage all to read this book!! It will wow and touch your heart!!

God bless you everyone!! Have a great day!!
